Stilton Blue Heads Megastar Hopefuls

By Stuart Turner

Returning Stilton Blue heads a strong list of nominations for this Friday's Sportingbet Megastar Prelude (520m) at Dapto.

This year’s Group 3 Nowra Summer Puppy Classic winner and Group 3 Sportingbet Bulli Gold Cup runner-up (pictured) will make his first appearance for nearly two months in the Prelude, starting from box six.

He will be among a high-quality list of contenders lining up for the chance to earn a place in next Friday's $75,000-to-winner Group 1 Megastar.

Last Friday’s Group 2 Black Top runner-up Push It is another decent chance but has drawn the unhelpful box eight.

Gun Queensland trainer Tony Brett has Exhibitionist going from box seven, while Anthony Azzopardi’s recent Group 1 Hudson Pacific Maturity Classic runner-up Shoulders (box four) could be a strong contender.

Other greyhounds in contention include Lacey Lois, My Awesome Opal, Velvet Flame and Woods.

The night kicks off the second in Greyhound Racing NSW’s exciting new Thank Dog It’s Friday series.

The series aims to promote the best greyhound racing at regional NSW tracks over the coming months.
