Chica Destacada, Flash Reality, Ritza Hattie, Tommy Brislane and Zipping Willow have been named as the automatic selections for the Group 1 Sportingbet Dapto Megastar (520m) on Friday 12 September.
The five greyhounds were selected by an expert panel from a shortlist that included some of the best sprinters in Australia.
Chica Destacada (pictured), trained by Doreen Drynan, has been selected following her terrific win in the Group 1 National Sprint Championship.
In that race, Chica Destacada defeated Flash Reality with the two to renew their rivarly at Dapto in a fortnight's time.
The Mark Gatt-trained Ritza Hattie has not raced since May this year, but was in red hot form prior to her spell winning the Group 3 Ambrosoliat Wentworth Park on Macro Meats Golden Easter Egg night.
Tommy Brislane, meanwhile, has been contesting a number of feature races in recent months including the Group 1 Peter Mosman classic and the NSW National Sprint, where he finished second to Chica Destacada.
Zipping Willow was scratched on the day of Group 2 Black Top final due to a shoulder injury, but is expected to be back to full fitness for the Megastar.
The Sportingbet Dapto Megastar is the second leg of the Thank Dog It's Friday racing series, which showcases the best regional racing in a primetime Friday night slot.
