On Coin Searching For Six In A Row

By James Broadhurst

On Coin has established himself as one of WA’s most dominant sprinters with a five race winning streak since returning from injury early last month, and the chaser will once again be hard to beat when he lines up in the Gibbons Holden Gosnells Free For All (530m) at Cannington on Saturday.

On Coin (pictured, with connections) has always been a supremely talented chaser but has recently added consistency to his repertoire and his trainer John Crossley believes that the greyhound is stronger than ever since returning from his time on the sidelines.

It seems like not much can halt On Coin’s progress at the moment, but the star chaser could find some difficult competition on Saturday when he encounters the capable Hillbilly Flash and Gomes, a greyhound which is always dangerous from the pole.

Saving Bundles has been posting nice results but her task is harder this time around from a wide draw.

A step up in distance and the advantage of the rails alley should signal a revival in fortunes for Bingle Monelli’s prospects when she goes around in the Property Plus Real Estate 642m (Race 2).

She’s been disappointing in her past two efforts over the 530m journey following on from a very eye-catching of effort to win in 30.30 in mid-April.

Bingle Monelli can be very impressive on her night and she has shown in the past that she is more than suited over the middle distance where she has two wins and runner-up placings from three starts and boasts a personal best of 37.31.

A big threat is former NSW chaser Wing It Appeal who has clicked for new trainer James Jefferies with victories from her past two starts after showing very little in her first couple of races for the new kennel.
