Sky Racing All Set For A Golden Night

Sky Racing will provide comprehensive coverage of the Group 1 Macro Meats Golden Easter Egg at Wentworth Park on Saturday night, with an uninterrupted broadcast on Sky Racing2 (Channel 520).

The Macro Meats Golden Easter Egg night is one of the biggest race programs on the greyhound racing calendar where the best greyhounds in Australia compete for more than half a million dollars worth of prizemoney.

Presenting the action on Sky Racing2 at Wentworth Park will be David Carlson, Simone Fisher, Tim Newbold and Mark Duclos.

The uninterrupted coverage will include detailed race analysis and trainer interviews for the Group 1 Macro Meats Golden Easter Egg, the Group 1 AAA Radiator Specialists Association Cup, the Group 3 Ambrosoli, the Group 3 Macro Meats New Sensation as well as the Listed Ultra Sense.

Sky Racing Chief Operating Officer Brendan Parnell said he was pleased that Sky Racing2 could provide increased exposure to the Golden Easter Egg, which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary.

“The Golden Easter Egg is one of the premier events in greyhound racing and we have all our top greyhound experts on track to bring Sky Racing viewers the best possible coverage,” Mr Parnell said.

GRNSW Chief Executive Brent Hogan said the uninterrupted coverage on Sky Racing2 was great news for all racing fans.

“Greyhound racing continues to grow both in terms of popularity and wagering so it is terrific that the sport’s most iconic event - the Macro Meats Golden Easter Egg - will receive considerably increased exposure through the showcase coverage on Sky Racing2,” Mr Hogan said.

The extensive live broadcast coverage commences on Sky Racing2 at 6.30pm, with the final of the Group 1 Macro Meats Golden Easter Egg taking place at 9.45pm. 

Complementing the extensive coverage on Saturday will be the Golden Easter Egg Preview Show which will be broadcast on Sky Racing1 and Sky Racing Radio on Good Friday.

Hosted by a panel of experts, the preview show will take a detailed look at the Golden Easter Egg as well as the Association Cup and all the other quality races on at Wentworth Park on Saturday night.

The Golden Easter Egg Preview Show will be broadcast between 1.30pm-2.30pm.
