Xylia Allen's owner Paul Wheeler believes his superstar sprinter come stayer could break the Wentworth Park 720m track record again in Saturday's Association Cup final.

Xylia Allen will be all the rage for Saturday’s Group 1 AAA Radiator Specialists Association Cup after smashing Dyna Willow’s newly established Wentworth Park 720m record in her heat on Saturday night. It was the third track record in a row for Xylia Allen having broken the Gellong 680m track record and the Horsham 570m track record at her previous two starts.

Not only did Xylia Allen’s 41.53 performance slash 0.21 seconds off Dyna Willow’s figures, but she also eclipsed the Wentworth Park 280m record of 15.98 when she posted a first split of 15.84.

Speaking on Sky Radio this morning, Wheeler said he was amazed by the run of the multiple Group 1 winner, at what was her first start at the track and distance.

"What she did on Saturday was unbelievable... (and) I would not be surprised if she could break the track record again (this Saturday)," Wheeler said.

While hopes are high for a repeat performance, Xylia Allen (pictured) cannot afford to put a foot wrong on Saturday as Victorian trainer Darren McDonald’s new acquisition Sweet It Is produced a sensational performance to chase home Dyna Willow in a 41.69 heat.

Sweet It Is, purchased recently by a client of Darren’s for $95,000, was having her first Wentworth Park 720m test but came from a distant fifth on the back straight to get within less than three lengths of Dyna Willow at the finish.

Hailstorm Billy won the third heat for Angela Langton in 42.11

The box draw for the Association Cup is: 1. Lethal Three 2. Xylia Allen 3. Sweet It Is 4. Dyna Willow 5. Rocky Bale 6. Hailstorm Billy 7. Hala Belle 8. Infinite Wish 9. Born Ali 10. Pumped Up Zarr
