An article in today's Sydney Morning Herald discusses a report from consultant Deloitte relating to the development of a new racing precinct in western Sydney and the future status of Wentworth Park as Sydney's metropolitan greyhound racing venue.
GRNSW is continuing to negotiate a new lease agreement with the Wentworth Park Sporting Complex Trust which would see arrangements extend well past the current licence deal at Wentworth Park which runs to 2027.
While these negotiations are ongoing, GRNSW thought it prudent to explore the proposal detailed in the Sydney Morning Herald as it related to greyhound racing and to be well informed about alternatives to Wentworth Park in the event that appropriate long-term arrangements could not be secured.
