Mark Bell, who trained 2000 NSW Greyhound of the Year and Melbourne Cup winner Go Wild Teddy and 2001 National Derby winner Mean Bean, is at home recuperating after a liver transplant just over two weeks ago.
Mark said: "After the operation I was put in an induced coma supposedly for 48 hours but woke up after 12 hours.
"But everything seemed to go well although I have to return to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital every two or three days to be monitored.
"I’m on a high protein, specific diet and have lost 20 kilograms but am feeling well and hope to be back at the track in a few months time."
