Vanderburg Appeal Decision

By GRNSW

Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) advises that the Racing Appeals Tribunal has announced its decision following the severity only appeal by trainer Wayne Vanderburg against three periods of seven years disqualification over the presentation of greyhounds with an elevated level of ethanol metabolites at The Gardens in February and March 2012.

The Tribunal upheld the appeals in reducing the penalties in each case to one of two years and three months, all again to be served concurrently. Vanderburg will therefore be eligible to apply for registration again from 18 March 2015.

Whilst GRNSW respects the decision of the Tribunal, it will review the Tribunal's written decision upon receiptĀ and determine whether to challenge the decision at a higher level.
