Tonight’s meeting at Lismore has been abandoned due to the extreme temperatures in the region and the malfunctioning of the air-conditioning unit in the kennel blocks at the track.
The decision was made by GRNSW stewards with regard to the welfare of the greyhounds that were due to compete at the meeting.
Stewards enacted the Hot Weather Policy due to the temperatures on-course and given the fact that the air-conditioning had stopped working in the kenneling area.
Under the GRNSW Hot Weather Policy, it is a requirement that greyhounds are properly cared for in circumstances of Hot weather conditions.
